  • Determined conditions under which neuronal regeneration is possible

Background

My research accomplishments include the discovery of a virus which may cause Amylotropic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), known in the United States as Lou Gehrig’s disease. I've also shown that viruses are associated with such diseases as diabetes, certain forms of heart disease, chronic fatigue syndrome, and post-polio syndrome (PPS). I was a member of the team that developed a computer artificial intelligence system for the management of AIDS. I've also worked extensively in the area of vaccine development. My current efforts are focused on the use of established scientific methods to test the purity, toxicity, and benefits of natural products; and the use of natural products to slow or reverse the aging process, protect the health of persons without chronic diseases, and assist in the management of patients with chronic diseases.
