For over five hundred years the Japanese have been mining coral sands from the islands of Okinawa. These sands are the product of the weathering of the coral reefs, which fall to the base of the reefs in large mounds. The Japanese discovered very early that chickens that ate the coral laid more eggs and that cows that ate the coral gave more milk. They also found that vegetation was more prolific when fertilized with the coral sands. Thus for five hundred years the people of Okinawa have been eating the coral sands and the result has been a culture virtually free of disease, no cancer, diabetes, no heart disease, etc, and a culture that lives over 30 years longer than their relatives on mainland Japan. The consumption of coral has spread around the world with almost as many testimonials as the people who consume it. The coral is basically calcium with some magnesium and 60 trace metals. Each sachet contains 1000 milligrams of coral, which is 380 milligrams of calcium, and when placed in water about 150 milligrams of calcium is ionized and consumed. However, 100% of the calcium is absorbed, and when compared to a Tum, where less than 5% or 20 milligrams of calcium is absorbed, the coral with its trace metals is far more nutritious.  The average elderly American only absorbs less than 5% of the calcium consumed from products such as Tums, which destroy the stomach acid that is crucial for digestion, and therefore has to consume over 2000 milligrams per day of these products. Coral calcium solves this problem.

Also, because the Coral Plus is consumed in capsule form, about 80% of the 384 milligrams of calcium in the 3 daily capsules or 307 milligrams of calcium is consumed. This is over twice as much as is provided by taking the coral calcium in a sachet and 15 times as much you get from a Tum. Unfortunately, coral calcium does not have enough magnesium for optimal human health. Coral Plus has addressed this problem and contains the appropriate amount of magnesium and other nutrients in addition to vitamin-D, crucial to the absorption of calcium and other nutrients. The result is coral calcium plus other essential nutrients known as “Coral Plus” and the product is currently priced at almost half the cost of the coral calcium competitors without the added nutrients. I therefore highly recommend Coral Plus as the best coral calcium on the market today, and therefore the best calcium nutrient.
