Hi Wayne,

It was in December, after Christmas, 1999 that my wife Masako went to her doctor because of a tumor on her right rib cage area. Her doctor wanted to remove it and recommended surgery. She went home to discuss it with her family. During this time her Uncle acquired a small bag (about 200 grams) of some dried whole agaricus mushroom pieces from Brazil for the equivalent of $600.00 USD. At this time Agaricus mushroom was not yet available in Japan despite all of the apparent testimony or conjecture regarding Ronald Reagan's successful use of Agaricus mushrooms for his cancer. She said that it tasted like shiitake mushrooms. She boiled 1 handful everyday to make 1 cup of a "weak" tea and, through the advise of her mom, she also used the boiled pieces in stir fry when ever she could so not to waste any of this expensive mushroom and to avail herself of it's full benefits.

After one week she noticed that her tumor was smaller and within 1 1/2 weeks total her tumor was completely gone. When she went to her doctor he showed little or no interest in knowing what she did to treat and rid her tumor. She told him anyway and was met with a response of indifference. Since that time agaricus capsules have become available and more popular in Japan and a family who we know have dedicated their mushroom farm business to the production of Tamogitake mushroom production (after producing only Shiitake and Maitake mushrooms for over 30 years exclusively).

This Tamogitake mushroom has been tested to have about 16.8 X more of the Beta Glucan-B content than that of Agaricus. (see attached / sent separately) Beta Glucan -B has been researched by Jun Yan,2* Va´clav VeŽtvicŽka,* Yu Xia,* Angela Coxon,‡ Michael C. Carroll,§Tanya N. Mayadas,‡ and Gordon D. Ross3*† and quoted in The Journal of Immunology,1999, 163: 3045–3052. /  b-Glucan, a “Specific” Biologic Response Modifier That Uses Antibodies to Target Tumors for Cytotoxic Recognition by Leukocyte Complement Receptor Type 3 (CD11b/CD18)1(MECHANISM OF TUMOR IMMUNOTHERAPY WITH b-GLUCAN) (attached).
I hope that this helpful and informative.

Ken
